Which prerequisites and/or requirements are compulsory for the ARM training?

There are no formal requirements and no standards for a certain professional level. However, because the learning material and the seminars are in English, the knowledge of English must be good (Advance Level).

What is the recommended study time for this course?

Approximately 8 working hours per week can be expected: approx. 4 hours for working through the online material in advance (approx. 20-30 pages per week), approx. 4 hours for the examination assignments, learning the key definitions within the learning objectives and the personal summary. Per module 3-4 seminar days or seminar half days are planned to support the transfer of theory into your practice, to discuss case studies, to try out specific options for action or to advance your personal opinion along your experience. Within the framework of these events, we will also discuss practical tips for your exam preparation.

How are the seminar days structured?

The seminar days are based on the chapters of the online material which have to be read and questioned. Online material is practical in the sense that you have the documents at hand whenever you like. But it is not easy to transfer the content from the virtual generic text to practice in your business context. Therefore, the seminar days along the material are discussed in real situations and prepared in different formats. These can include visits, discussion rounds, workshops and other formats.

What are the conditions to gain the "ARM" Diploma?

The only requirement for the ARM Diploma is the passing of the 3 online exams for the modules 400/401/402 and the successful passing of the online ethics module. There are no oral exams and no diploma thesis.

How are the examinations arranged? Can they be repeated?  

The exams consist of 65-85 multiple-choice questions and last 2 hours each. They are taken on the computer. Only a calculator and scratch paper with a pencil are allowed.

There are 4 examination windows per year, each of them has a duration of 2 months. These examination windows have the following structure:

15 January - 14 March

15 April - 14 June

15 August - 14 September

15 October - 14 December

If possible, we hold exams in groups of 15-20 people. We plan the exam date with the enrolled students. Self-study students or students who register for an exceptional or repetition exam must arrange the date at least 4 weeks in advance with the IIS. The order in which you take the exams is free, but we recommend taking them immediately after your studies. The same examination can be held a maximum of 2 times per examination window or a maximum of 4 times per year.

Will I be invited to the diploma ceremony if I complete a Diploma?

Yes, if you complete a Diploma or Certificate at IIS, you will be invited to the Diploma Ceremony. This happy event usually takes place in autumn. You will receive the invitations electronically.
